When the Watergate Hotel re-opens to guests this week in Washington it will offer a nod to its history as the site of a famous political scandal.

The AFL-CIO Young Worker Advisory Council released a statement today on the Orlando massacre:"The AFL-CIO Young Worker Advisory Council extends its deepest sympathy and solidarity to all who have been affected by the unspeakable violent act, fueled by hatred and bigotry, which took the lives of 49 innocent people and injured at least 50 more at Pulse in Orlando early Sunday morning."

An early-morning controlled detonation caused the hotel's 24-story Monaco Tower to implode. But spectators needed to use a little imagination.

The Duke and Duchess of Cambridge left a personal message in the condolences book at the U.S. Embassy in London.

Shawn Henry, former executive assistant director with the FBI, explains why the police waited three hours to enter the Pulse nightclub.

The Orlando nightclub attack comes just one month after the city's official tourism association said it set a record for inbound travelers last year.

Hillary Clinton and Donald Trump are going toe-to-toe with two very different messages in response to the tragedy.

"That's not his first time there," a regular customer at the club said. "He's been there several times. I know that for a fact."

Jeff Rodriquez was one of more than 50 people wounded in the attack. Fifty people — including the gunman — died.

Steven Edward Baker, 41, of Kensington, Maryland, admitted to producing child pornography and sexually exploiting a child.
