Hours after a New York grand jury declined to indict the officer who killed Eric Garner in July, protests broke out both on the streets of several U.S. cities—and on the Internet.

Neighbors say the shooting was unnecessary but the Phoenix police officer involved says the victim appeared to be reaching for a gun during the altercation. KPNX's Gia Vang reports.

Rallies and marches were being organized in Phoenix after police shot and killed a 34-year-old unarmed black father of four children.
