A woman convicted of torturing and killing a mentally impaired man she had promised to marry is scheduled to be executed in Texas on Wednesday evening.Suzanne Basso, 59, is slated for lethal injection at 6 p.m. CT. She would only be the 14th woman executed in the U.S.
